Slow and Steady Wins the Race

The Waiting Might KILL ME!

on April 22, 2010

My husband has been looking for a job since August.  He worked in Aviation before quitting his job to stay at home with our son when he was born.  He was also working on his Bachelor’s degree while he was at home and recently graduated.  He did ALL of his coursework online and got the Aviation Industry’s version of a Business Degree.  He took all kinds of crazy math classes and had to teach himself the math (like Statistics!).  I have a Business Degree and the fact that he did that kind of math without instruction in a classroom is AMAZING!  I don’t know that I would have been able to do that.

Anyway, the point of this post is that for a long time he was putting his resume out and getting Nada.  No bites.  Here recently though he has been getting some interviews.  Yesterday he had an interview with a company that he interviewed with 3 and 1/2 years ago (obviously didn’t get the job at the time).  Well, we are hoping, Hoping, HOPING that the result is different this time.  In the words of Tom Petty – the waiting is the hardest part.

So, Universe, if you are listening…please, please, please bring a job offer back our way.
