Slow and Steady Wins the Race

About

I started running for first time ever in November 2008 with a goal of completing a 5K using the Couch to 5K program.  I don’t count running track in middle school because when you are that young you can do just about anything.  As an adult it takes a lot more effort to keep getting out on the road or the trails with all of life’s distractions.  I have battled some injuries since beginning my journey to become a runner and while they are frustrating they harden my resolve to keep running to stay fit and active.  I accomplished two of my running goals in 2010.  I ran the Crystal Coast Half Marathon on February 27, 2010 and the OBX Marathon on November 14, 2010. My second child was born this past August and I am working on finding the time to run again. A two working parent household plus two kids is a little crazy.

I started this blog to track my running progress.  As time has gone on, I have started adding some family life in and now some of my photography. I picked up a Nikon DSLR for the first time in September 2010 and have been enjoying taking pictures of the beauty that surrounds me.

I have been thinking about you wondering what you’re up to…now I know. Congrats on making a commitment to getting healthy and such. I can barely commit to washing my hair at least every other day. If it didn’t get greasy, I probably wouldn’t. Anyway, I digress. Congrats and keep up the good work. Don’t you love blogging? Shout out to wordpress.
